Our Story: From Dial-Up Roots to Modern IT Services

Cloud 9 began in 1993 as Westchester County’s first Internet Service Provider, built to solve a simple but frustrating problem—local businesses had no affordable way to access the internet. What started as a workaround for long-distance dial-up quickly grew into a full-service ISP for Westchester and NYC.

As technology advanced, we expanded our offerings to include business hosting, DSL, colocation, and managed WAN services. Our in-house datacenter kept us running through major events like 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy, when many others went offline. We focused on reliability when it mattered most.

By 2010, we shifted from ISP to MSP, helping longtime clients navigate complex IT projects, supporting their own evolving businesses, and growing network demands. Most of our customers still have in-house IT - and we work right alongside them, filling in the gaps, adding expertise, and never pushing them out of the picture.
